avoids fetching over and over the Catalog in some codepaths (especially costly
when using a non-cached Catalog Plugin).

our code is a bit broken because we should allow to just create subscription by only specifying planName.
This scheme works for BP but breaks for other types as it is needed to decide with entitlement api to use.
